Description
Revopoint POP 4 Wireless Hybrid 3D Scanner
The Revopoint POP 4 is a versatile five-mode 3D scanner combining blue multi-line laser, near-infrared structured light and VCSEL structured light in one compact scanning system. Designed for small to medium objects, the POP 4 can handle detailed mechanical parts, artwork, people, prototypes, reverse-engineering projects and full-colour scans using a single portable scanner.
Switch between high-detail laser scanning, fast marker-free structured-light scanning, deep-hole capture and larger-area VCSEL scanning depending on the object and environment. With up to 0.03 mm single-frame accuracy in laser mode and scanning speeds up to 105 fps, the POP 4 provides a flexible workflow for 3D printing, design, digital archiving and reverse engineering.
- 5 Scanning Modes: Choose the scanning method best suited to detailed parts, larger objects, deep features, people or rapid surface capture.
- Up to 0.03 mm Single-Frame Accuracy: High-detail blue laser scanning for precise object capture.
- 30 Blue Cross Laser Lines: Quickly capture detailed geometry at up to 2 million points per second.
- Single-Line Deep-Hole Mode: Helps capture grooves, holes and difficult recessed geometry.
- Marker-Free Structured Light Scanning: Capture suitable objects and people without applying tracking markers.
- VCSEL Rapid Scanning: Provides a larger scanning range and supports marker-free scanning of larger objects.
- Colour Scanning: Integrated RGB camera captures colour information alongside object geometry.
- Outdoor Scanning: VCSEL scanning supports bright outdoor environments up to 100,000 lux.
- Wireless Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6 connectivity supports portable scanning workflows with compatible devices.
- Revo Scan 6 Included: Free scanning software provides scanning, editing, merging and model export tools.
Five Scanning Modes in One Scanner
Instead of relying on one scanning technology for every object, the POP 4 provides five scanning modes that can be selected according to the geometry, surface, object size and working environment.
30-Line Cross Laser Mode
Thirty blue cross laser lines provide rapid high-detail capture at up to 105 frames per second when used with a supported NVIDIA GPU. Laser mode can capture many dark or reflective surfaces without scanning spray and is particularly useful for mechanical parts, prototypes and detailed geometry.
Single-Line Deep-Hole Mode
A dedicated single blue laser line helps capture narrow grooves, recessed features and deep holes that can be difficult to scan using broad structured-light patterns.
Full-Field HD Mode
Near-infrared full-field structured light provides fast surface capture at up to 5 million points per second. It is well suited to objects, faces and body scanning where marker-free operation is possible.
VCSEL Rapid Mode
VCSEL structured light expands the working range up to approximately 800 mm and supports scanning rates up to 30 fps. This mode is particularly useful for larger objects, people and outdoor scanning.
Hybrid HD Mode
Hybrid HD combines full-field and VCSEL scanning data to provide fast, high-quality point-cloud capture across a wider range of object sizes.
High-Precision Scanning
In multi-line laser mode, the POP 4 provides single-frame accuracy of up to 0.03 mm and volumetric accuracy of 0.03 mm + 0.05 mm × L (m), where L is the length of the scanned object. Fused point distance can reach up to 0.05 mm.
Structured-light accuracy varies by mode and working distance, allowing the scanner to trade maximum precision for a larger capture area when required.
Scan Small Parts to Larger Objects
Multiple working-distance ranges let the POP 4 move from close-up detailed scanning to significantly larger-area capture:
- Multi-Line Laser: 200–400 mm working distance
- Full-Field HD / Hybrid HD: 250–500 mm working distance
- VCSEL: 300–800 mm working distance
- Minimum Scan Volume: 10 × 10 × 10 mm
- Maximum Scan Volume: up to 2 × 2 × 2 m
Outdoor Scanning
POP 4's high-intensity VCSEL system can operate in lighting conditions up to 100,000 lux, making outdoor object scanning significantly more practical than with conventional indoor structured-light scanners.
Multi-line blue laser scanning normally supports lighting conditions up to approximately 50,000 lux. The magnetic Outdoor Blue Filters supplied with the Premium Edition extend blue-laser operation to lighting conditions up to approximately 100,000 lux.
Wireless and Portable Scanning
The POP 4 supports Wi-Fi 6 and can work with compatible computers and mobile devices. Full-field structured-light and VCSEL scanning can be performed directly with a compatible mobile device.
Multi-line laser scanning requires connection to a computer. Revopoint's Revo Mirror workflow can mirror the computer scanning interface to a mobile device for portable viewing and control.
Full-Colour Scanning
An integrated 1.3 megapixel RGB camera captures colour information alongside the object's 3D geometry. This is useful for artwork, cultural objects, people, prototypes and applications where surface appearance needs to be preserved with the scanned model.
AI-Assisted Scanning and 3DGS
Revo Scan 6 supports real-time AI object segmentation to help isolate the desired scan from its surroundings. POP 4 scan and RGB data can also be used with Revopoint's photorealistic 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) workflow for creating realistic spatial models.
