PC or PC Blend?
Our PC Blend has a lower published nozzle-temperature range than the PC listing. It still has specific bed and chamber requirements, so check the complete product guidance when assessing your printer. Choose the formulation for its documented properties and your intended use, then confirm the equipment needed to print it.
When should I compare PC Carbon Fiber?
Consider PC-CF when stiffness is a priority. Carbon filling changes the material's behaviour; it does not improve every property equally. Compare the selected grade's technical data for the loads and impacts your part will experience. Use a wear-resistant nozzle compatible with your hotend and the filament's printing requirements. Can my printer handle this grade?
Check the hotend's rated temperature, heated-bed capability, build surface and chamber requirements before ordering. An enclosure can help control cooling and warping, but a passive enclosure may not reach a grade's specified chamber temperature. Follow the selected product's guidance and your printer manufacturer's operating limits.
Bed preparation matters too. Use a surface and adhesion or release method recommended for the exact PC formulation and build plate. Treat temperature settings for another brand or blend as a separate recipe.
Storage, drying and nozzle choice
Keep PC filament sealed with desiccant between uses. Follow the grade's drying instructions when drying is needed, checking that both the spool and dryer can tolerate the specified temperature. Carbon fiber does not remove moisture-management requirements. For PC-CF, browse replacement nozzles and select an abrasion-resistant model that fits your printer.
Which option comes in translucent?
PC Blend has a Translucent colour option alongside Black, Grey and White. The PC and PC-CF listings here are black. Choose the listed colour for your project rather than assuming all polycarbonate filament has the same appearance.
