Replacement silicone socks for your Volcano HotEnd. This silicone sock is ideal for the E3D Volcano heater block.

Silicone Volcano socks offer a huge boost in temperature stability, this particularly important when using high-airflow cooling around the nozzle to cool the print.  The additional cooling, combined with reduced heat radiation from the block to the print really boosts the ability to print great overhangs and bridges, all while keeping the HotEnd temperature extremely stable.

Made from an inherently non-stick high-temperature silicone, these socks help keep your nozzles and block free from plastic residue.

While they are designed to be as durable as possible, they will eventually wear away or perish. Your mileage will vary depending on the temperatures used and the materials you print with.

Bad fit, and they don't last

No fault of spool3d, these are official ed3 socks, but e3d makes them like garbage. Very bad fitment, and after a couple weeks of printing they become brittle and just start crumbling apart into your prints.

nice fit

fits nicely, bought because when printing 1.2 mm with my volcano, could’n’t keep temp up. did not test again at high flow

Perfect for keeping heater blocks clean

Not sure why this isn't in the Eruption pack, but it's perfect for keeping the heater block clean. Also insulates to an insane degree, I made the mistake of touching the heater block with this installed and the heater at 200C, it barely felt warm on the outside with my finger in direct contact with the sock, so they're a great safety addition as well.

A little expensive, but works well

Keeps the large surface area of the volcano clean and helps stabilize temps which is nice for when you're really pushing plastic.
