Hotends have the new heater block and thermistor cartridge introduced in June 2016.

Assembly guidelines for Lite6 can be found here.

Not everybody needs the all-metal high-temperature performance of an E3D-v6. There exists a need for a hotend that is reliable, and puts out great prints, but meets the budget of those who are just getting started in 3D printing.

Lite6 is E3D's answer to that need. By adopting a PTFE lined, “Mostly Metal” design we’re able to meet what we think is a really awesome price point, for a fully inclusive kit with electronics. That’s a lower price than any other genuine hotend on the market and cheaper than many clones.

Lite6 does not supersede v6 - more compliments it, think of Lite6 as v6’s little brother. It’s a lower cost hotend, with a more modest specification, but still a great option for beginners and those on a budget.

Aimed at printing everyday materials.

Lite6 cannot offer the same high-temperature performance as E3D-v6, which means that you can’t print higher-performance engineering plastics like Nylon, Polycarbonate, and ColorFabb Carbon-Fiber XT. The PTFE liner in Lite6 means that there is a temperature limit of 240C. With all of the above said, Lite6 is aimed at the more standard materials, such as ABS and PLA, and it really does produce beautiful looking prints with outstanding reliability. The full length PTFE liner also means you get great performance with flexible materials like NinjaFlex.

Package Contents:

  • Genuine unassembled E3D Lite6 Kit - 1.75mm filament; 12V or 24V heater cartridge; 0.4mm brass nozzle; cartidge thermistor; 30mm x 30mm fan, V6 silicone sock, (bowden kit includes tube and coupling)

I finally bit the bullet and decided to upgrade my anycubic i3 mega to this hot end. It was a bit outside my technical comfort zone but with all the guides out there i muddled through. I've been putting it through its paces and so far i am nothing but impressed. At first i didn't like the idea of the bowden pressing against the nozzle but i soon realized the advantage to this system, when the tip of the bowden wears out all you have to do is replace the bowden instead of purchasing an all new hotend. I am a very satisfied customer and see no reason not to recommend this hotend as an alternative/upgrade for common material printing

Five stars. Spool3D's description was thorough and clear, so much so that I was confident this hot end would be the right one, this after having purchased several replacements based on thin descriptions that either did not fit or did not work. Delivery (Calgary to Chelsea PQ ) took about a week. My four year old Prusa mk2.5s now works better than new.

E3D lite6

Made the mistake of buying a clone v6 for my build. Heat creep galore. I wised up and bought this, and the printer has been printing flawlessly since. I only print pla and petg so the lite6 is an awesome affordable hotend.

Very impressed with this hotend!

WOW! Wish I could show a sample of my print going on now compared to my aging J-Head. It's fantastic and soooo finish is coming out so smooth! Thank you Spool3d for shipping so fast during this Pandemic!
