The rod that I have is not within its declared tolerance. My measurements show anywhere between 7.20mm and 7.55mm. And yes, it is not exactly circular, one end shows 7.22 and 7.45 at diametrically opposite directions. Other that that, it is smooth, hard and stiff enough to make it usable. Pretty good for this price,

Upon inspection they appear to be toleranced to 0.005" runout. Considering print beds are calibrated to a piece of paper or 0.004" this is mediocre. Recommend spending money on better shafts.

In a world somewhat full of complaints about the straightness of these rods, Spool3D supplied excellent (straight) rods which I picked up from their location (so no comment available on shipped material). Excellent service, as always.

I ordered 6 8mm rods in different lenghts, and all of them were slighty bent, wich made then unusable for my machine. 2 of them also had a bit bigger diameter wich caused a lot of friction in the linear bearings.

I ordered the rods 8mm 400mm, 450mm and 500mm for my DIY 3D printer. It was well packed. The rods are perfect and the good quality. I recommend the rods from SPOOL3D.

This fixed my printer, the rods are really well packed and straight as an arrow. Will buy again here if I ever need them again (hopefully not tho!).

Bought a couple different lengths of this stuff, 320mm and 370mm for a scratch built i3 variant, they're really straight and basically indestructible for practical purposes.
