Description

The Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) is a fully enclosed CoreXY 3D printer combining fast, precise motion with active chamber temperature control, automatic calibration and the Prusa Nextruder. With a 250 × 220 × 270 mm build volume, a chamber capable of reaching 55°C and support for a wide range of engineering materials, the CORE One+ is designed for reliable everyday printing, functional parts and professional prototyping.

Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) 3D Printer

Built around Prusa's enclosed CoreXY platform, the Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) delivers the speed of CoreXY motion with the consistency, repairability and material flexibility expected from Prusa.

The enclosed chamber actively manages temperature and can reach up to 55°C, helping reduce warping when printing materials such as ASA, ABS, polycarbonate and nylon. For PLA and other lower-temperature materials, automatic ventilation helps maintain a suitable chamber environment without requiring you to leave the printer open.

The Gen 2 version introduces several practical refinements to the CORE One platform, including a redesigned heatbed mounting system for faster print preparation, new GT1.5 belts for smoother-looking surfaces and an integrated nozzle wiper for cleaner print starts.

Fully Enclosed CoreXY Performance

The CoreXY motion system keeps the heavier motors stationary while moving a lightweight print head. This allows fast movement while maintaining dimensional accuracy and print quality. Input Shaper further compensates for vibration during high-speed printing.

Despite its relatively compact footprint, the CORE One+ provides a generous 250 × 220 × 270 mm build volume, or approximately 14.9 litres.

Active 55°C Chamber

Temperature-sensitive materials benefit from the CORE One+'s actively controlled enclosed chamber. The printer continuously monitors chamber conditions and automatically manages ventilation depending on the material being printed.

Maximum temperatures are:

Specification Temperature
Nozzle 290°C
Heatbed 120°C
Enclosed chamber 55°C

Prusa Nextruder

The direct-drive Nextruder uses a Load Cell sensor directly at the nozzle for fully automatic first-layer calibration. The nozzle itself acts as the probe, eliminating the need for manual Z-offset adjustment.

A 360-degree part-cooling system improves cooling around the print, while Prusa's quick-swap nozzle design makes changing nozzle sizes straightforward. The CORE One+ Gen 2 ships with a 0.4 mm high-flow Prusa CHT brass nozzle.

Designed for More Than PLA

The enclosed chamber, all-metal filament path and Nextruder make the CORE One+ suitable for much more than basic PLA printing.

Prusa lists support for PLA, PETG, Flex/TPU, PVA, PC, PP, CPE and PVB, along with more demanding materials including ABS, ASA, HIPS and PA.

Easy Setup and Automatic Calibration

The assembled CORE One+ is designed to get from unpacking to a first print in about 10 minutes. Initial setup includes automatic calibration, leveling and sensor checks without manual bed adjustment.

Flexible Connectivity

Print files can be transferred using Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB. The printer also supports Prusa Connect and the Prusa mobile app for remote printer management.

Internet access is not mandatory. The CORE One+ can be configured and operated offline, including local printing and firmware updates.

Open and Repairable Platform

Prusa continues its open-platform approach with published firmware source code and available CAD resources. The CORE One+ is also designed to be mechanically serviceable rather than permanently assembled with adhesives, making maintenance and future upgrades easier.

Multi-Material Ready

The CORE One+ supports Prusa's MMU3 system for printing with up to five filaments and is also designed for the INDX toolchanger platform supporting up to eight materials.

What's New with Gen 2?

Compared with the previous CORE One platform, the second-generation CORE One+ adds a redesigned heatbed mounting system that reduces preparation time, GT1.5 belts that make repeating surface artifacts finer and less visible, and an integrated nozzle wiper that removes loose filament from the nozzle before printing.
