Upgrade your Creality K2 Series printer with a high-flow Phaetus Silicon Carbide Nozzle engineered for abrasive materials, high-speed printing and extended service life. The integrated quick-swap assembly supports flow rates up to 30 mm³/s and printing speeds up to 600 mm/s

The Phaetus Silicon Carbide Nozzle – K2 Series combines a wear-resistant silicon carbide nozzle tip with Phaetus EndCoat™ technology to provide durable, consistent extrusion for everyday and abrasive 3D printing filaments.

Compared with a standard hardened-steel nozzle, Phaetus states that the silicon carbide design can provide up to seven times the service life. It is suitable for frequent printing with carbon fibre, glass fibre, metal-filled, wood-filled and glow-in-the-dark materials that can quickly wear conventional brass nozzles.

The extended heating chamber supports a maximum flow rate of 30 mm³/s and printing speeds up to 600 mm/s, helping maintain reliable extrusion during high-speed printing.

Silicon Carbide Wear Resistance

Silicon carbide provides excellent resistance to abrasive filament additives. The nozzle is paired with an EndCoat™-treated heat break to provide additional wear protection throughout the filament path.

This makes it a strong choice for:

  • Carbon-fibre-reinforced filament
  • Glass-fibre-reinforced filament
  • Wood-filled filament
  • Steel- and metal-filled materials
  • Tungsten-filled filament
  • Glow-in-the-dark and phosphorescent filament
  • Standard PLA, PETG, ABS and TPU

Phaetus specifically lists compatibility with both standard thermoplastics and abrasive composite materials.

High-Flow, High-Speed Printing

The enlarged heating zone helps melt filament consistently during rapid extrusion.

Manufacturer-rated performance:

  • Maximum flow rate: 30 mm³/s
  • Maximum printing speed: 600 mm/s
  • Available nozzle diameters: 0.4 mm and 0.6 mm

These ratings are maximum manufacturer specifications; practical flow will vary with filament type, temperature, layer height and printer configuration.

Integrated Quick-Swap Design

The nozzle and heat-break components form an integrated all-metal assembly designed for faster installation and removal. The precision-machined connections help reduce the risk of molten-filament leakage commonly associated with threaded nozzle and heat-break joints.

Smooth Filament Flow

Phaetus specifies an internal surface roughness below Ra 0.4. The smooth internal filament path and burr-free nozzle opening are designed to promote consistent material flow and reduce extrusion instability.
