Tips for Printing with PETG
- A textured build plate or suitable adhesive barrier layer is recommended to prevent PETG from bonding too aggressively to some print surfaces.
- Ensure your print bed is level and your first-layer height is properly calibrated for reliable adhesion.
- Experiment with nozzle temperature to find the best combination of surface finish, strength and extrusion for your printer and printing speed.
- Use moderate part cooling for detailed features, bridges and overhangs when appropriate.
- PETG can absorb moisture during storage. Keep unused filament sealed in its resealable bag with desiccant.
- If stringing or inconsistent extrusion develops, drying the filament before printing may improve results.
