V6 nozzles are designed for use with the E3D V6 heater block. Modify your HotEnd to be able to print with small nozzle orifices to achieve fine details or larger nozzle orifice sizes for more substantial, stronger prints. 1.75mm Brass V6 nozzles are fully compatible with the Prusa 3D printers.

Please note - V6 nozzles are not compatible with Volcano, SuperVolcano or Cyclops heater blocks.

Brass nozzles, featuring E3D’s signature internal geometry, have optimal thermal properties for everyday printing, providing smooth layers for standard non-abrasive applications. Rated to a max temperature of 300°C.

Experimental Nozzles

Here be dragons! These nozzles conform to our strict manufacturing and engineering guidelines, but might still need more know-how and practice than others in our range. This collection includes high-resolution 0.15mm nozzles for very very tiny printing and also offer undrilled nozzles for those who like to make their own.

E3D nozzles are identifiable with markings on the flats of the hex head, please see the table for identification.

0.15mm Nozzle Special Considerations:

E3D-Online is proud to present their highest-precision nozzle for 3D printing yet!

This 0.15mm nozzle allows you to print some really, seriously, very, extremely tiny parts with with a level of fine detail that will blow you away

For complete requirements and specifications check the E3D blog and wiki pages.

WARNING: This precision nozzle for 3D printing has been engineered by E3D to be as user-friendly as possible, but nonetheless has some very specific requirements!

  • For use with MG94-ABS, PC-ABS, or PMMA
  • Always use clean, high-quality filament
  • Requires the use of a geared extruder (e.g. Titan), silicone sock and part-cooling fan
  • Keep clean and dust-free to avoid blockage

Slicer Settings:

• Nozzle Size: 0.15mm (obviously!)
• Layer Height: We recommend somewhere in the region of 0.08mm. This proved to be the sweet-spot for us.
• Print Speeds: Make sure to turn your speeds and acceleration down. This is all about precision, and precision takes time. We ran our printers at 18mm.s-1, with outline and infill under-speeds at 75-80%. The overhangs were left at the default 45°, and the minimum infill length at 5 mm.
• Retraction: Stringing can be almost entirely tuned away in your retraction settings, however poor tuning can make things much worse due to the higher extrusion forces and pressures. We were using 1mm at 30mm/s-1.

For a full breakdown of the slicer settings please see the documentation on our wiki!

Compatibility

  • v6 Nozzles are backwards compatible, so can be used to upgrade your v5 HotEnd.
  • If you are using a v6 HeatBreak it is recommended that you use a v6 Nozzle.

    As Advertised

Cheaper than ordering from E3D once shipping is factored in, and the nozzles are exactly the same. I'm satisfied with the quality, and you can't beat the convenience of shopping locally.

The brass nozzles are compatible with the Prusa printer as advertised and they are well made.

    Great OEM nozzle

Posted by John T. on June 13, 2023

Was having issues with a partial clog on my Hemera's original nozzle - which had printed about a dozen rolls of PLA/PETG filament - so it didn’t owe me anything…. Had a few 'eBay' nozzles laying about, but they just didn’t fit a well as I thought they should. Bought half dozen of these 0.4mm nozzles and replaced it…. Back to perfect printing! As a bonus, since they were exactly the same height, when I went to adjust my print bed to nozzle height, I found it was perfect - no adjustment required! All said and done, took about 30 minutes to change it out.

Standard E3D nozzles; they print great, like you'd expect. All good.

    Works Good--and in stock!

I was wondering if my poor print quality was due to a degraded nozzle. I tried my best to clean it, but when I swapped one of these babies in, presto! Prints like new! And Spool3D had them in stock for a decent price. What's not to like?

Excellent replacements on my Prusa MK3. Also, Spool3D has excellent and timely service and shipping when I place an online order.

Nozzles where packaged and shipped well. I haven't used them yet but they appear to be of good build quality with a nice bore clean and threads.

    Brass E3D nozzles

Posted by Alex on November 16, 2020

I ordered one of these in .4 and three in .8 What I got, was one .4, two .8's and one random one that was in the same bag as the .8's but was clearly a different size. Not one to complain, I went online and found that E3D nozzles actually have a dot code system to tell you which size is which! It turned out to be a .5 which I've now been printing with for tens of hours without issue. It and the .8 size work great in my Anycubic mega X and I'd certainly recommend them to anyone else with a compatible hot end. good stuff these.

    E3D 0.4mm/0.25mm Nozzle

While most the time the cheaper nozzles will work you'll find that they tend to vary in quality and wear out quickly. Pay a bit more and you'll get something guaranteed to be the correct diameter and internally machine bored clean. Less headaches are worth the extra cost.
