Bambu Lab SuperTack Plate for A1, P1 Series, and X1 Series.

The Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack is a flexible spring-steel build plate designed to deliver strong, reliable adhesion for PLA and PETG at lower heatbed temperatures. Its specially formulated coating helps reduce warping, improve first-layer reliability and create a smooth matte finish on the bottom of printed parts.

Product Description

Say goodbye to lifted corners, detached supports and failed first layers. The Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack uses a high-adhesion coating that holds PLA and PETG securely throughout the print, even when using lower bed temperatures than a conventional textured PEI plate.

Its strong surface adhesion is particularly useful for:

  • Large models that are vulnerable to warping
  • Tall or narrow prints with limited bed contact
  • Parts with small first-layer footprints
  • Models with sharp corners
  • Long-duration PLA and PETG prints

The flexible spring-steel construction also allows the plate to bend for easier model removal once printing is complete.

Reliable First-Layer Adhesion

The SuperTack coating helps the first layer remain firmly attached, reducing the risk of corners lifting or the model moving during printing. It can also improve reliability when printing geometries that would normally have insufficient contact with the build surface.

Reduced Warping on Large Prints

Large models generate internal stress as the material cools. The strong adhesion provided by the SuperTack surface helps hold the model flat against the plate, reducing corner lift and warping on wide printed objects.

This makes it a strong choice for:

  • Storage organizers
  • Enclosures and housings
  • Wide functional components
  • Long flat parts
  • Models with large footprints

Lower Heatbed Temperatures

The Cool Plate SuperTack is designed to maintain adhesion at lower bed temperatures. Bambu Lab compares a recommended 45°C PLA heatbed temperature on SuperTack with approximately 65°C on its Textured PEI Plate. Actual settings can vary by filament formulation, printer and model geometry.

Lower operating temperatures can provide:

  • Reduced heatbed energy consumption
  • Faster heat-up times
  • Less heat released into the printer enclosure
  • Lower operating temperatures for PLA printing

Smooth Matte Bottom Finish

The coating produces a smooth, natural-looking matte texture on the bottom of printed objects. This helps the build-plate side blend more closely with the remaining printed surfaces than a heavily textured plate.

It is suitable for decorative models, functional parts, display pieces and printed products where the bottom surface remains visible.

Long-Lasting Performance

Bambu Lab reports that the SuperTack coating loses less than 20% of its original adhesion after 300 PLA Basic prints under its testing conditions on an A1 printer. As a coated consumable surface, its actual lifespan depends on print settings, materials, cleaning and how carefully models are removed.

Key Features

  • Strong adhesion for PLA and PETG
  • Helps prevent failed first layers
  • Reduces warping on large prints
  • Operates at lower heatbed temperatures
  • Smooth matte bottom-surface finish
  • Flexible spring-steel construction
  • Magnetic installation
  • Normally requires no adhesive
  • Durable SuperTack coating
  • Available for standard-size Bambu printers

Removing Printed Models

Use the scraper supplied with the printer to gently lift one edge of the model, then carefully work the print free. The SuperTack coating is softer than PEI, so avoid digging the scraper into the surface.

When a model is attached too firmly, Bambu Lab recommends heating the plate to approximately 50°C to assist with removal.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The SuperTack surface normally provides strong adhesion without glue or cleaning before every print.

When cleaning is required:

  • Wash the plate with water and ordinary dish detergent.
  • Rinse away all detergent residue.
  • Allow the plate to dry completely.
  • Handle the printing area by the edges whenever possible.
  • Do not use acetone or other organic solvents.

Organic solvents can permanently damage the SuperTack coating.

Important Material Notes

  • Do not print TPU directly on the SuperTack surface. Bambu Lab warns that TPU can damage the coating.
  • Bambu PLA Silk can adhere excessively and may damage the model during removal.
  • For third-party PLA Silk, use the Generic PLA Silk preset and test compatibility cautiously.
  • Support for PLA/PETG should not be printed directly onto the first layer of the SuperTack plate.
  • Increasing the heatbed temperature increases adhesion, so avoid unnecessarily high bed settings.
  • The nozzle-wiping area will gradually show wear; this is considered normal.
  • The plate is a consumable component and its coating will degrade over time.

X1 Series Plate Detection

When an X1 Series printer does not correctly recognize the plate, Bambu Lab’s product guidance recommends disabling build-plate position detection under:

Controls → Print Options → Enable detection of build plate position

This is only necessary when plate-recognition problems occur.

In the Box:

  • 1 x Bambu Lab SuperTack Plate for the X1S and similar size printers

Compatibility

  • Bambu Lab A1
  • Bambu Lab P1 Series
  • Bambu Lab X1 Series

Improve PLA and PETG adhesion with the Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack. Reduce warping, print at lower bed temperatures and achieve a smooth matte finish.
