The Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack Pro is a flexible spring-steel build plate developed for reliable PLA and PETG printing without regularly applying glue or other adhesives.
Its SuperTack Pro coating securely holds the first layer during printing, helping prevent lifted corners, detached supports, and failed prints. This improved adhesion is particularly useful for large objects, tall models, narrow contact areas, and parts that are prone to warping.
Compared with the original SuperTack plate, the Pro version is designed to operate at lower heatbed temperatures. Bambu Lab recommends approximately 40°C for PLA and 60°C for PETG, compared with 45°C and 70°C respectively for the original SuperTack plate.

As with all coated build plates, lifespan depends on cleaning methods, print settings, material selection, scraper use, and general handling.
Easy Model Removal
Allow the plate and printed model to cool before removal. The coating is designed to reduce adhesion after cooling, making parts easier to release.
Use the scraper supplied with the printer to gently lift an edge, then carefully remove the model. When a print remains firmly attached, Bambu Lab recommends heating the plate to approximately 50°C to assist with removal. The coating is relatively soft, so avoid digging the scraper into the surface.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The SuperTack Pro normally provides strong adhesion without applying adhesive or cleaning the surface before every print.
When the plate becomes dirty:
- Wash it with water and ordinary dish soap.
- Rinse away all soap residue.
- Allow the plate to dry completely.
- Avoid touching the printing area with bare fingers.
- Do not clean it with acetone or other organic solvents.
Organic solvents can permanently damage the SuperTack Pro coating.

Important Notes

- The coating can be damaged by aggressive scraping.
- Do not use acetone or other organic solvents.
- Remove models carefully rather than sharply pulling them from the surface.
- Allow the plate to cool unless the model is adhering too strongly.
- For very firmly attached parts, heat the plate to approximately 50°C before removal.
- Filament formulations vary, so confirm compatibility before printing third-party specialty materials.
Bambu PLA Silk+ is supported, but Bambu Lab warns that some other PLA Silk materials may adhere excessively. For third-party PLA Silk, use the appropriate Bambu Studio preset and evaluate compatibility carefully.
