This unique collection features filaments with multi-dimensional effects, drawing inspiration from the vastness and beauty of the cosmos. Expect vibrant base colours enhanced with a touch of metallic sparkle. Perfect for eye-catching art pieces, otherworldly prototypes, and designs that demand a sense of wonder and awe, our PLA Cosmic Colours filament is made with the same high-quality standards you expect from Spool3D.
It's a fantastic material for both beginners and experienced users looking to add a touch of magic to their 3D printing projects. Our Cosmic Colours PLA filament is available in a range of captivating shades, all precisely Pantone-matched for consistent and reliable results.
- Deep, Rich Base: The primary colour is a deep, dark colour, reminiscent of the vast expanse of space. It provides a solid, elegant foundation for the cosmic elements.
- Silver Sparkle: Evenly distributed, fine glitter particles. These aren't large, chunky flakes, but rather subtle, shimmering specks that catch the light. The glitter appears as silver, creating a beautiful contrast with the dark background, like stars scattered across the night.
- Subtle Depth and Texture: The inclusion of glitter adds a layer of visual texture and depth to the printed object. As the light hits the surface from different angles, the tiny particles twinkle and create a dynamic effect.
- Hides Layer Lines: The subtle sparkle can also help to visually break up and minimize the appearance of layer lines, resulting in a smoother-looking final print.
- Not Overpowering: The glitter effect in Cosmic (Galaxy) PLA is typically not overwhelming or gaudy. Instead, it's designed to be sophisticated and add a touch of magic without being distracting.

-
- Cosmic Black - The primary colour is a deep, dark black, reminiscent of the vast expanse of space. It provides a solid, elegant foundation for the cosmic elements.
- Cosmic Blue - The primary impression is that of a dark azure or a deep sky blue. It's not a bright, electric blue, but rather a more reserved and sophisticated hue.
- Cosmic Green - A deep green, but with a significant amount of grey mixed in. This grey influence mutes the vibrancy of the green, giving it an earthy and somewhat desaturated appearance.
- Cosmic Grey - Imagine the colour of dark charcoal or graphite. It's a substantial and deep grey, falling on the darker end of the grey scale.
- Cosmic Purple - Imagine a rich, dark purple that leans noticeably towards the blue side of the violet spectrum. It's not a reddish-purple but has a cool, almost regal quality.
- Cosmic Red - Sits in the spectrum between a deep crimson and a true maroon. It's a substantial red with a noticeable depth and intensity.

PLA filament is an excellent material for a beginner to start with and has the added benefit of being a bio-plastic, typically derived from corn. Low odour and consistently round diameters make this material very easy to work with.
Tips for Printing with PLA:
-
- Ensure your bed is level for optimal first layer adhesion.
- Experiment with printing temperatures to find the best results for your printer.
- Consider using a cooling fan for intricate details and bridging.
- Store your PLA filament in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight when not in use. Please use the resealable plastic bag with the desiccant pack provided.

Good quality and expensive filament
I’ve gone through a roll of the galaxy black filament and the surface finish and sparkles are quite nice. The filament is not brittle and doesn’t break easily. I’ve tried 6 brands of galaxy black and this is one of best I’ve used, just behind Prusament. However, it is comparatively expensive and that’s the only reason I would hesitate to buy more. Overall, I am satisfied.

Noice.
Basically galaxy black but without the shipping and import fees. Prints well too.
