The Phaetus DXC Extruder is a high-performance replacement extruder developed for the Creality K1, K1C, K1 Max and K1 SE. Its synchronized dual-drive system increases contact with the filament for strong, consistent grip during rapid extrusion and retraction. Helical drive teeth engage the filament progressively, helping reduce surface damage, deformation and slipping compared with conventional straight-cut extruder gears.

An adaptive rocking arm automatically regulates pressure for filaments with different hardness levels, supporting reliable printing with PLA, ABS, TPU from approximately 85A to 95A and abrasive carbon-fibre composites. Integrated filament monitoring helps detect feeding interruptions, while the open cooling architecture improves airflow around the drive system to reduce heat creep and high-temperature jams.

The drive components feature Phaetus’ patented RNC wear-resistant coating, which the manufacturer states offers up to three times the service life of ordinary gears. Installation is designed as a direct replacement for compatible Creality K1 Series printers without firmware rooting, making the DXC an effective upgrade for users experiencing filament slipping, inconsistent extrusion, TPU feeding difficulties or premature stock-gear wear.
