What You See is What you Get

4/5
Good product, but it doesn't come with any form of power wire or signal wire. You need to have a 12-24 V relatively high amperage cable for the connection to your power supply and some signal wire to your control board. Luckily I had some thicker gauge stuff for that and some spare control wire, I would've expected this would've come with it. Word of warning.

Safety first

4/5
It arrived in good shape, I don't know if it was intentionnal or not, but there was no 2 pin connector with the mosfet, luckily I found one laying around. Anyway, my printer is safer, and I got rockets to eat so I can't complain :)

An excellent external MOSFET

5/5
It's not written in the description, but the great part about this controller is the optoisolator between the load and the signal. This allows you to use the same power supply for the board and the controller, which makes it easy to effectively convert a low-power MOSFET on your board to a beefier one, without any soldering. (Mind you, if a MOSFET on your board burnt itself out, this controller couldn't act as a replacement by itself, you'd need to fix the controller board first.) As far as I can tell, the optoisolator doesn't affect the efficiency or PWM in any meaningful way, so there should be no disadvantages to using this controller in the "classic" way (i.e. using a second power supply to power your heated bed). I can't speak for it's usefulness at high amperage, as I'm using this to drive a huge fan (~2A draw) and not a proper heated bed. However, the heatsink seems substantial, and if worse comes to worst, you can always point a small fan at the heatsink to keep it nice and cool.

Good safety feature to add for most assembled printers

5/5
I've got this one installed on a bed I swapped from 12V to 24V and its working great. It's a great safety feature to put in on devices and if you upgrade the amperage of the bed. A lot of cheaper controllers or connectors can't handle the amperage and you end up with problems. Only note, make sure you're using bootlace connectors or some type of proper way of keeping the wire tight under the connectors... while they ARE rated for 25 amps, nothing can save you if there is a ton of resistance - so anything is only as good as your wiring.
