The Creality Sermoon S1 is a professional handheld 3D scanner combining one single blue laser line, seven parallel blue laser lines, 34 crossed blue laser lines and dual-range NIR structured light.
With accuracy up to 0.02mm, scanning speeds up to 90 FPS, a minimum scan volume of 5 × 5 × 5mm and support for objects up to approximately 4000 × 4000 × 4000mm, the Sermoon S1 is designed for reverse engineering, inspection, automotive work, manufacturing, art preservation and 3D printing.
Multi-Light Scanning Versatility
The Sermoon S1 combines several scanning technologies in one portable professional scanner:
- One single blue laser line for deep holes, narrow gaps and recessed areas
- Seven parallel blue laser lines for detailed scanning
- 34 crossed blue laser lines for fast capture of larger components
- Close-range NIR structured light for medium-sized objects
- Long-range NIR structured light for people and large objects
This hybrid design allows one scanner to capture small precision components, mechanical assemblies, automotive parts, people and complete vehicles.
Capture Deep Holes and Recessed Features
The precise single-line blue laser and optimized optical path help the Sermoon S1 capture difficult geometry that broad scanning patterns may miss.
It is particularly useful for:
- Deep holes
- Narrow channels and gaps
- Recessed surfaces
- Internal mechanical features
- Hard-to-reach areas
- Detailed automotive and industrial components
Up to 0.02mm Accuracy
The Sermoon S1 delivers scanning accuracy up to 0.02mm, making it suitable for precision inspection, reverse engineering and detailed reproduction.
Blue laser volumetric accuracy reaches:
0.02mm + 0.08mm/m
NIR structured-light volumetric accuracy reaches:
0.075mm + 0.1mm/m
High-Speed Scanning up to 90 FPS
The Sermoon S1 captures up to 1,428,000 measurements per second using its 34 crossed blue laser lines.
Depending on the selected mode:
- Single-line and parallel-line modes: up to 90 FPS
- Cross-line scanning: up to 70 FPS
- NIR structured light: up to 30 FPS
The high capture rate helps maintain tracking while scanning complicated geometry and large objects.
Innovative Four-Lens NIR System
The NIR structured-light system combines standard stereo lenses with wide-field-of-view cameras.
Standard stereo lenses provide precise scanning, while the wide-angle lenses support fast, marker-free capture of:
- Human bodies
- Sculptures
- Furniture
- Automotive components
- Large mechanical assemblies
- Other medium-to-large objects
Scan Small Parts and Complete Vehicles
The hybrid blue laser and infrared system supports objects ranging from approximately 5mm to 4000mm.
The minimum blue laser scan volume is:
5 × 5 × 5mm
The minimum NIR scan volume is:
150 × 150 × 150mm
This range makes the Sermoon S1 suitable for objects such as coins, bolts, figurines, engine components, people, motorcycles and complete vehicles.
Larger Field of View
A larger single-frame field of view reduces the number of markers required and improves tracking efficiency when capturing large objects.
Maximum single-capture fields of view include:
- Blue laser: 506 × 433mm at 600mm
- Long-range infrared: 1245 × 754mm at 1000mm
Creality states that the long-range NIR mode can scan a human body in as little as approximately one minute, depending on conditions and operator technique.
Scan Black and Metallic Objects Without Spray
The blue laser system is designed to capture many black and metallic surfaces without applying scanning spray.
This can reduce preparation time when scanning:
- Black plastic components
- Engine parts
- Automotive assemblies
- Metal castings
- Dark mechanical housings
- Inspection parts that should remain clean
Highly reflective, transparent or unusually difficult surfaces may still require surface preparation.
Indoor and Outdoor Scanning
The Sermoon S1 is designed for operation in bright outdoor conditions as well as controlled indoor environments.
Maximum stated ambient-light levels include:
- Single blue laser line: below 100,000 lux
- 34 crossed blue laser lines: below 100,000 lux
- Seven parallel blue laser lines: below 50,000 lux
- NIR structured light: below 30,000 lux
Intelligent Scan Stabilization
An AI-driven temperature-compensation algorithm and thermal-management system help maintain stable output during extended scanning sessions.
One-shot 3D imaging technology is intended to improve tracking stability and reduce:
- Dropped frames
- Alignment errors
- Stitching errors caused by movement
- Accuracy drift during prolonged operation
A 2MP RGB camera and dual-colour texture lighting support high-definition colour reproduction.
Expandable Wireless Scanning
The Sermoon S1 supports wireless operation when paired with the optional Creality Scan Bridge accessory.
The Scan Bridge provides a handheld grip and wireless connection for greater freedom when moving around vehicles, sculptures and other large objects.
The Scan Bridge is sold separately.
CrealityScan 4.0 Software
