The Creality Low-Temperature Cold Printing Build Plate is a flexible, double-sided spring-steel plate designed for the Creality K2 Plus. Its resin-coated surface provides strong first-layer adhesion at reduced bed temperatures, helping lower energy use while reducing warping.

The 370 × 370mm plate features positioning tabs for quick installation and bends after cooling to release finished prints without scraping tools.

Strong Adhesion at Lower Temperatures

The resin-coated printing surface is engineered to hold the first layer firmly while using less bed heat than a conventional high-temperature build surface.

Recommended build-plate temperatures shown by Creality are:

PLA Approximately 30°C
TPU Approximately 30°C
PETG 50–70°C
ABS 50–70°C

Although Creality promotes the plate as requiring no heating for some applications, its material guide still recommends approximately 30°C for PLA and TPU. Actual settings may vary with filament brand, enclosure temperature, first-layer speed and model geometry.

Double-Sided Resin-Coated Surface

Both sides of the spring-steel plate feature a resin-coated printing surface, allowing either side to be used.

Flexible Spring-Steel Construction

The high-strength spring-steel core combines flatness with flexibility.

Once the completed model has cooled, bend the plate slightly to release the print. The flexible surface reduces the need for scrapers and helps lower the risk of damaging the finished model.

The plate is designed to return to its original flat shape after repeated flexing.

Quick Installation and Precise Positioning

Integrated alignment features help position the plate correctly on the K2 Plus magnetic bed.

The shaped front corners and rear locating tabs provide:

  • Faster plate installation
  • Consistent positioning
  • Easier alignment with the printer bed
  • Secure placement during printing

Lower Energy Printing

Reducing the required bed temperature can shorten warm-up time and decrease the amount of electricity consumed during long prints.

The greatest energy savings will generally be achieved when printing lower-temperature materials such as PLA and TPU. PETG and ABS still require moderate bed heating according to Creality’s recommended temperature ranges.

Easy Print Removal

After the build plate and model have cooled:

  1. Remove the plate from the printer.
  2. Flex the spring-steel sheet gently.
  3. Allow the finished model to release from the coated surface.
  4. Return the plate to the magnetic bed for the next print.

This avoids forcing a scraper beneath the model and reduces the likelihood of damaging delicate first layers or finished parts.
