Print it right with Spool3D ABS 3D printer filament. Known for its high strength, impact resistance, and heat resistance, ABS is a popular choice for engineering prototypes, mechanical parts, and end-use products. Its ability to be post-processed easily, including sanding, painting, and gluing, further expands its versatility.

While ABS requires slightly higher printing temperatures and careful management of warping compared to PLA or PETG, its superior mechanical properties make it ideal for applications where durability and temperature resistance are crucial. Spool3D's ABS filament is manufactured to exacting standards for consistent quality and reliable printing. Available in a range of solid colours, our ABS filament will empower you to create strong and lasting 3D printed objects.

Discover Our 1.75mm ABS Colour Collection:

    • Black ABS: A classic and versatile choice for strong, durable prints.
    • Blue ABS: Add a splash of vibrant blue to your creations.
    • Brown ASA: This colour can be perceived as sophisticated, calm, and versatile, making it suitable for various design applications where a warm but not overpowering neutral is needed.
    • Green ABS: Create eye-catching prints with a rich green hue.
    • Grey ABS: A neutral and sophisticated option for a wide range of applications.
    • Orange, Dark ABS: Make your prints stand out with this bold and energetic colour.
    • Purple ABS: Create elegant and unique prints with a purple shade.
    • Purple, Neon: Our offering of a pink ABS filament.
    • Red ABS: A strong and attention-grabbing colour for functional parts and artistic creations.
    • Silver ABS: Add a touch of metallic shine to your prints.
    • Translucent ABS: Not coloured, allowing light to pass through, diffusing it.
    • White ABS: A clean and versatile base colour for a variety of projects.
    • Yellow ABS: Bright and cheerful, perfect for parts that need to be highly visible.

Why Choose Our 1.75mm ABS Filament?

    • High Strength and Durability: Excellent for functional parts and prototypes requiring mechanical strength.
    • Good Impact Resistance: Can withstand more stress and impact compared to PLA.
    • Heat Resistant: Higher temperature resistance than PLA, making it suitable for parts exposed to warmer environments.
    • Easy to Post-Process: Can be sanded, painted, glued, and chemically smoothed (with acetone vapour).
    • Good Layer Adhesion: When printed correctly, layers bond strongly for durable prints.
    • 1.75mm Diameter: Standard filament size compatible with most desktop 3D printers.
    • ± 0.04mm Tolerance: Ensures consistent and reliable extrusion.
    • Consistent Round Diameter: Promotes smooth and even flow through the nozzle.
    • Convenient Packaging: Vacuum packaged with desiccant and includes an extra resealable bag for storage.
    • Pantone Colour Coded: Ensures accurate colour matching.

Tips for Printing with ABS:

    • Use a Heated Bed: A heated bed is crucial for ABS to prevent warping and ensure good adhesion.
    • Print in an Enclosure: An enclosure helps to maintain a warm and stable printing environment, reducing temperature gradients that can cause warping and cracking.
    • Apply Bed Adhesion Aids: Use materials like glue stick, hairspray, or specialized build plate surfaces to improve first layer adhesion.
    • Disable or Reduce Cooling Fan: ABS benefits from slow cooling to minimize internal stresses.
    • Increase Brim or Raft: Using a brim or raft can help to increase the surface area in contact with the bed and improve adhesion.
    • Ventilation: Ensure good ventilation in your printing area as ABS can emit fumes during printing.
    • Store your ABS filament in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight when not in use. Please use the resealable plastic bag with the desiccant pack provided.

Safety:

Ensure proper ventilation when printing with ABS as it can release fumes. Consider using an enclosure with a filter for extended printing sessions.
