    Very good quality

I used a .25 layer height and got an excellent model. Easy to print with no flow issues. It turned out stronger than I expected, as most wood models I heard are quite fragile. I did have lifting on the corners even with gluestick and a 90c heated bed, but it wasn't bad enough to ruin the model.

    Superb finish quality.

Prints very nicely with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.3mm layer height. Follow the temp guides on the box. Even though it's PLA they recommend 90c+ degrees for bed temp. I didn't listen and experienced some curling at the corners even with a brim on glass with glue stick at 65c. Smells vaguely like burnt molasses when printing. Has a top layer finish quality similar to thick brown paper bag. Edge surface quality is better and smoother than I've seen from other wood fill products.

    Successful Wood Printing

Posted by Doug B on July 01, 2016

Great wood product once you figure out your print settings. I had to increase the size of my nozzle from 0.30 mm to 0.50 mm and remove my retractions. Printing at 250 Deg C still produces a light print. I’m having very successful prints using the following settings on my GeeeTech Prusa i3 Aluminum. Nozzle Diameter: 0.50 mm Extruder Temperature: 250 Deg C Bed Temperature: 50 Deg C Bed Material: Glass with Elmer’s Glue stick Layer Height: 0.30 mm Printing Speed: 80 mm/s
