People who want to tinker with 3d prints rather than 3d printers

Posted by Bambu Labs P1S on February 05, 2025

I followed 3D printers right from the first ender 3 and I always wanted to get into the hobby but I never pulled the trigger, finally I chose the p1s and dove in head first. As usual life throws some curveballs and I havent used it as much as I want to but its great for loading up a model, doing some small printing adjustments, and the printer spitting out a model a couple hours later. I've seen people fiddle with bed levelers, software, and all sorts of things on more budget 3d printers but I really do think that a p1s at about double the cost of an ender 3 is worth the price hike if you just want to print and not really tinker with the 3d printer. The recent news about bambu labs is somewhat worrisome, not because of the current news but because of the future considerations of where it could go. At the stage it is now I think that for 80% of people it doesn't really matter.

    My First 3D Filament Printer

Posted by Michael Gauthier on February 05, 2025

After almost a month with my Bambu X1 Carbon and AMS combo I am not disappointed or dissatisfied. Sure I have had to disassemble the feed gear once so far for stuck peice of filament, but that was easy to do with clear instructions how and all the tools needed were included. I like this enough to say with certainty that it will be maintained and upgrades if avalible, concidered. Worth it for sure.

    Wow this machine is incredible.

I recently upgraded to a P1S from an Ender 3v2. The speed ease of use and quality of prints from the P1S is amazing. The only small issue I have had is the in house spooled 3d filament rolls are slightly too large for the ams. They still function in the ams but the lid has to be open a bit. Loving all the cool filament I can try now that I have an enclosed printer. 10/10 would recommend this printer.
