Print it right with Spool3D ASA 3D printer filament.  Our ASA thermoplastic filament is manufactured with tight tolerances from premium grade material.  Our filament has been tested on popular fused filament fabrication desktop 3D printer platforms.

ASA is a thermoplastic developed as an alternative to ABS, but with improved weather resistance, and is widely used in the automotive industry. It is used for general prototyping, where its UV resistance and mechanical properties make it an excellent material for use in 3D printering.

ASA filament should be stored in a resealable plastic bag with the dessicant pack provided.

  • 1.75 mm plastic ASA filament (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate; tolerance +/- 0.04mm)
  • 1 kilogram spool (spool size: 90 mm ID x 200 mm OD x 63.5 mm W; spool hole diameter: 54 mm)
  • Colour: chosen
  • Consistently provides excellent build quality for low cost 3D printing.
  • Included in the box: 1kg spool of ASA175-10001 filament, vacuum packaged in plastic with dessicant
  • Shipping Weight: 1.65 kg

Spool Sizes:

  • 1 kg - 204 mm OD x 67 mm W; spool hole diameter: 56 mm

    ASA

Posted by Brett on November 21, 2022

Great service in terms of ordering from you guys as always. As for the product, had to use a heat tower to determine what print settings I needed. Even with default settings for ASA, this material printed great. I ordered this material to replace a part on my fathers boat as for some reason the brand no longer sold this part. So some time in CAD and 56min on the printer and I gave him a new part that I tested to be stronger than the original. With the great UV resistance and higher temperature limit of this material was perfect for the application.

    Buy other ASA

I solely print ABS and ASA. Lots of it. Unfortunately this one is winning the last place when it comes to printing ASA. It's more expensive and I was never able to get good looking prints and is more warpy than average ASA. Dried it a lot, dialed the material using various temperatures, speed and fans. Maybe I got a bad roll. But the outcome is the same. Will never buy again. There are too many excellent and cheaper ASA on the market.

    great filament for the price!

I've been meaning to try spool3ds filaments for a while now, gave a roll of Asa a shot and it's great. Easy to print, accurate and strong! I am using an enclosure, 250degC hotend, 95degC bed, 90/45mms print speed.
