We recommend an abrasive resistant nozzle for printing glow in the dark filament.

Filament requires charging with light prior to glowing.  Enhanced further when charged with UV light.  Non-glowing colour is white.

Print it right with Spool3D PLA 3D printer filament.  Our PLA thermoplastic filament is manufactured with tight tolerances from premium grade material.  Our filament has been tested on popular fused filament fabrication desktop 3D printer platforms.

PLA filament is an excellent material for a beginner to start with, as it typically doesn't require a heated bed and has the added benefit of being a bio-plastic, typically derived from corn.  Low odour and consistently round diameters make this material very easy to work with.

PLA filament should be stored in a resealable plastic bag with the dessicant pack provided.

    Pretty darn good!

I'm still pretty new to 3d printing, and this filament worked well right out of the box for me! Minimal tuning of settings to get rid just a hint of stringing. I found its "glow-in-the-dark" -Ness to its most effective with higher infill percentages and thicker shapes.

Looks cool, but I think it was wet...

Posted by Mark on September 01, 2019

Printing in a glow in the dark filament seemed like a neat idea. The filament glowed as expected - very cool. Unfortunately, it also popped and hissed while being extruded at any temperature, and showed the surface texture and extrusion appearance consistent with wet filament. The vacuum packaging was still intact, and I tried to print 10 minutes after breaking the seal. I don't have a filament dryer, yet, so I can't verify my hypothesis... I'll keep the filament around until I DO have a dryer. Then we'll see. In the meantime, it's a small disappointment.
