  • Multi-Color Printing: Supports Multi-Color Printing With Up to 16 Colors Using 4 CFS
  •  Direct Drive Extruder
  •  Tilt Detection
  •  FOC Closed-Loop Motors
  •  350 x 350 x 350mm Build Volume
  •  Active Chamber Heater

K2 Plus is the highest edition in the 2nd generation of K series flagship 3D printers. It offers an ultra-large build volume of 350*350*350mm and features the extruder, a closed-loop motor system, an active chamber heater, etc. And it supports the intelligent CFS unit for multi-color 3D printing and automatic filament backup.

The K2 Plus heatbed adopts an 800W high-power AC heating system with double safeguards. There is an overheating fuse under the heatbed which will automatically disconnect in overheating. There is also a fuse in the machine body. When an unexpected situation occurs, it will disconnect to ensure safety.

K2 Plus has two cameras. One is located close to the nozzle and is used for flow rate and PA (Pressure Advance) calibration. Another is attached to the front frame. It is used for video monitoring and print failure detection.

Key specifications of K2 Plus

  • 350*350*350mm build volume
  • 600mm/s max speed
  • 30000mm/s² max acceleration
  • nozzle temperature up to 350℃
  • heatbed temperature up to 120℃
  • chamber temperature up to 60℃.

CFS (optional)

CFS is an intelligent filament management system. It enables automatic filament loading and unloading in addition to multi-color 3D printing. So, it can save you the troubles of filament replacement. And when the filament backup function is on, if the current filament spool is running out, it can continue by selecting and loading another spool automatically. It also makes a well-sealed drying box that you can store filaments for a long time.

CFS can use any filament spools with a diameter of 197-202mm. Creality paper spools are compatible. CFS supports most filaments such as PLA/PETG /ABS/ASA/PA-CF, but not with flexible filaments such as TPU and damp PVA/BVOH. To print with TPU, you can install it on the standard spool holder of K2 Plus.

Closed Loop Servo Motors

For K2 Plus, all XYZ axis and the extruder are driven by closed-loop servo motors. Unlike an open-loop step motor, the servo motor offers 32768 micro-steps for each revolution. So it achieves high torque, smooth and quick response, and great step accuracy. The average noise at standard speed is within 50 dB. Since the motor is regulated by FOC (Field-oriented Control) based on varying voltages. It will greatly reduce the heat runaway and avoid clogs caused by overheating.

Auto Leveling

K2 Plus uses two optical distance sensors on Z-axis for auto tilt adjustment and a strain gauge in the printhead for auto leveling. So it can ensure accurate leveling with less compensation. The whole process is automated without your attention. Moreover, the aluminum heatbed is 5mm thick and hard to deform, so the leveling accuracy can be well guaranteed.

    Awesome beast

Posted by James T Snell on December 17, 2024

I've had my K2 Plus a little over 2 weeks now and it's been quite a joy. The only problem was caused when I used an alternative slicer to Creality Print. Otherwise it's worked perfectly for every print so far. I have previously enjoyed having multiple printers just because I'm lazy about switching filament, which the CFS helps with a lot. The machine's a bit louder than I prefer, but it's extremely reasonable compared to others in its class. I hope to see Creality open source the firmware, not that it's really necessary since the thing seems to just work and I assume it'll be their flagship for a while and get decent support along the way. I've read some folks have had their damaged in shipping probably due to the immense weight of the packaging (you absolutely need a friend to help you move the box). Mine from Spool3D was in perfect condition and has been cranking-out prints since I got it. Thank you Derek!
