Problematic on early K1 series
No reflection on Spool3D, but this kit from Creality is not quite as simple as I expected. I had significant issues in getting the CFS to work with K1 Max. After extensive research and troubleshooting, I discovered that there is a compatibility problem between the toolhead PCB on early K1 Max models and the CFS system. I also managed to damage one of the cables while I was trying to troubleshoot the issues and Creality does not sell replacements for that specific cable. Ended up having one shipped, but was faster to buy a kit and make my own custom cable to replace it. If you have an early K1 series machine, you will need both a Unicorn nozzle upgrade (as mentioned in the description) AND a new PCB. You cannot tell from the version number on the PCB as Creality made some silent revisions both my replacement and original boards carry the same version marking. If you have non-latching connectors on the thermistor and heater, buy the upgraded PCB or you will be banging your head against a wall, just like I did. Once I got that figured out, it was a breeze, but it was far from obvious!
