    Double Check Mesurements

Posted by Violet on September 04, 2023

The built plate works great. I've had no trouble leveling the bed or with prints failing since replacing the stock magnetic plate with the glass one I bought. Though double check the size of your bed plate with a measuring tape. My Ender-5 has a build volume of 220mm x 220mm so I got that size, and its too small, I should have gotten 235mm x 235mm as that is the real dimension. Don't make the same mistake as me.

    Borosilicate Glass bed

This is an awesome glass bed. I was not happy with my stock bed that came with my Ender 3 v2. This one has great adhesion and my prints come out with a smooth glossy finish. I will warn people that this bed might not be as thick as you're expecting but that just means swapping the clips.

    works great

Bought the 235x235 glass sheet for my Ender 5 to replace the stock magnetic sheet. I much prefer the glass as it works with any filament that the Ender can print. I nearly ruined my stock bed printing ninjaflex. The flexible sheet doesn't really help removal when the part is just as flexible. With a glass sheet and a bit of the Dremel glue stick I can print PLA, PETG, NinjaFlex, PC+ and more. And if for some reason I find a material that won't work with Glue stick, there are other adhesive/release agents available.
