Stepper Motor Cables - PH2 to Dupont

The inner 2 wires in the cable are swapped compared to the wiring in the cables that originally came with my stepper motors. I did not realize this until after I had two burnt out stepper motor drivers and a burnt out Raspberry Pi 4B. I purchased 8 of these cables in 2 sizes. All cables were wired the same way. I re-wired a pair of cables correctly, and no further problems. The damage from using the cables as originally wired before correction is expensive. Swapping inner wires is sometimes required as there are 2 ways to wire stepper motors. This wouldn't have damaged electronics as it would just mean the motors would have vibrated instead of turned. 3D printers have this all the time - a simple swap with no damage even after powering - Spool3D.
