Need help getting your Polypropylene prints to stick? BuildTak's new solution can do the trick, and best of all, it works with your existing Original BuildTak or BuildTak PEI sheet!!
Meet BuildTak Bond for Polypropylene! Just apply directly to your BuildTak surface of choice and heat the bed to 35-40C for 5 min to dry. Then print away.
BuildTak Bond is water soluble, so when you want to go back to another filament, just use warm water and a paper towel to remove the adhesive.
Not all filaments are created equal and that includes polypropylene. In fact, polypropylene can be one of the more difficult filaments to print with consistently…until now!
Meet BuildTak Bond! it is now possible to print polypropylene consistently on the BuildTak Original Surface and the BuildTak PEI Surface.
As you would printing with any filament, first you want to adjust the nozzle height so the first layer is perfect. Printing polypropylene on BuildTak with BuildTak Bond does not require you to heat the bed at all while printing.
Apply a thin layer of ‘BuildTak Bond’ on the BuildTak Surface (as you would a gluestick) and print directly on the area you plan on printing on. Depending on how much you apply, you should be able to get multiple prints (our tests frequently granted us at least 2-3 uses) on a single layer of BuildTak Bond.
