Print it right with Spool3D wood 3D printer filament. Our wood filament is manufactured with tight tolerances from premium grade material. Our filament has been tested on popular fused filament fabrication desktop 3D printer platforms.
Consistently round diameters make this material very easy to work with.
Ordered both colours of this wood PLA filament for a multicolour print. Printed well using a 0.4mm hardened nozzle but didn’t try with brass. Was able to get good adhesion with minimal effort. Stringing was definitely more prevalent than regular PLA, especially in the light color but can be minimized with some retraction and temp tuning. Filament itself is quite brittle so you need to take care that there is a low resistance flow path to the extruder. Light smell of charring wood in the immediate area as it prints (personally a positive for me but could deter others). Would definitely buy again.

Excellent

after a few benchy and tuning, I was able to remove the stringing and it printed very nicely!

Hard to work with
3/5
I have worked with quite a few different additive type materials, this is by far the stringiest, most brittle stuff I've tried. It also needs a lot of encouragement to stick to the bed. I would recommend for organic looking peices, but not too much else.

Wood PLA
5/5
Extremely great product same as anything i have recieved from Spool 3D. Filament prints well with easy flow and no clogging. Definately beneficial to print with 0.5 Nozzle but overall great filament!

Great but the Strings
4/5
This stuff looks gorgeous and smells like wood that has been sanded too long in one spot. I'm running an E3D V6 Pro with a Titan extruder over the nice capricorn bowden tubing and even with some aggressive retraction settings it still strings like nuts. Bridging and overhangs are great and it does sand down nicely. All and all, I think I will use this for some bases for lights and use the white PET-G I picked up at the same time for some light shades. I'm sure you'll also love the interesting look of the extruded filament due to the particulates showing through.

Beautiful prints
5/5
For some reason this filament prints cleaner, sharper and with more detail than anything else I've used. Simply wonderful.

Great Product!!
5/5
The filament was a decent price. The product arrived extremely quick, I ordered it Wednesday night and it was delivered Friday afternoon. It was exactly as advertized. The product prints great. They even provide recommended heats for both extruded and bed on each box. All in all I was super happy with my purchase and will be ordering all my filament from Spool3D in the future.

great wood fill filament. very easy to print
5/5
Worked well with 0.4 nozzle, but best with 0.6. Thick layers turn out nicely, but I've gone as low as 0.2 with good results. Follow the temperature guidelines on the roll. 90c bed temp with thick layer of glue stick and a few brim layers to prevent curling since it's a very stretchy filament when molten. Can be sanded to a smooth finish.

Very good quality
4/5
I used a .25 layer height and got an excellent model. Easy to print with no flow issues. It turned out stronger than I expected, as most wood models I heard are quite fragile. I did have lifting on the corners even with gluestick and a 90c heated bed, but it wasn't bad enough to ruin the model.

Superb finish quality.
5/5
Prints very nicely with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.3mm layer height. Follow the temp guides on the box. Even though it's PLA they recommend 90c+ degrees for bed temp. I didn't listen and experienced some curling at the corners even with a brim on glass with glue stick at 65c. Smells vaguely like burnt molasses when printing. Has a top layer finish quality similar to thick brown paper bag. Edge surface quality is better and smoother than I've seen from other wood fill products.

Successful Wood Printing
4/5
Great wood product once you figure out your print settings. I had to increase the size of my nozzle from 0.30 mm to 0.50 mm and remove my retractions. Printing at 250 Deg C still produces a light print. I’m having very successful prints using the following settings on my GeeeTech Prusa i3 Aluminum.
Nozzle Diameter: 0.50 mm
Extruder Temperature: 250 Deg C
Bed Temperature: 50 Deg C
Bed Material: Glass with Elmer’s Glue stick
Layer Height: 0.30 mm
Printing Speed: 80 mm/s
