Flexible filament extruder retrofit kit for single-extruder direct-drive machines, such as Wanhao Duplicator i3. The Flexion extruder will allow full-speed printing of ultra-flexible filaments. The precision machined components allow your printer to push on filament harder, achieve high pressure in the nozzle, and control of feed rates very closely. The self-cleaning drive will keep your long prints from failing due to a clogged drive. Works will with Ninjaflex, Filaflex, flexible PLA, TPU, TPE ultra-flexible filament down to 50 Shore A, and all the standard rigid filaments like ABS and PLA.

This kit requires you to disassemble your printer’s extruder and reinstall this upgrade.

The Flexion Extruder is designed to fit as many models as possible – please see installation instructions for more details.

Works With:

i3 printers. Designed for 2x M3 mount at 31mm spacing (Wanhao Duplicator i3, Monoprice Maker Select) or a single M6 screw. See the Flexion support page for information on retrofitting to your printer.

Best extruder upgrade

5/5
Specifically designed for flexible filament but capable of handling more rigid product as well. Appeals to my love of adjusting and fiddling with things to get them right. Really like the idea of no spring tension against drive wheel. Have to be careful to use only high end filament though. Any large variance in diameter and touch may get slippage or binding. Only downside was figuring out how to mount it - but that's not Flexion's fault - that's my problem to solve.

Flexion for flexible filament

4/5
I purchased this extruder due to compatibility for a filament product called NinjaFlex. Have not had an opportunity to test yet but have installed this upgrade which was not too complicated and it made better results than the stock one that came with printer.

Flexion Extrude is The Cat's Ass!

5/5
I recently purchased the Flexion Extruder, and I am so impressed with this extruder. It is amazing how easy it was to install and get running. Within 20 minutes of unboxing, I was up and running. I have ran a couple of flexible filaments through with varying degrees of success, but with a few minor readjustments, prints that I have created so far with the Flexion Extruder have been spectacular. It absolutely shines in improvement of print quality. One feature I love is how easy it is to swap out filament while printing - no need to pause a print when wanting to switch colours. I give this extruder 99 cats asses out of 100!
