Revo Six Prusa Edition is a drop-in replacement for your Prusa i3 MK3 variants, giving you all the benefits of E3D’s RapidChange Revo ecosystem in an easy-to-upgrade package. The Prusa Edition includes a Prusa-specific thermistor extension cable to provide a true drop-in replacement experience.

No machine redesign. Revo Prusa Edition is a top choice if you want to update your old E3D V6 setup to the latest generation of E3D HotEnd technology. It has the same height, the same filament diameter, and the same groove mount as the E3D V6, so it drops straight into V6-fitted machines without the hassle of redesigning print head mounts and accessories. Just fit it, connect the Revo HeaterCore wires, and you’re ready to 3D print. – And yes, you can still use all the print profiles you have built up on Prusa slicer!

Ready for Revo. Revo Prusa Edition is designed to work with Revo Nozzles, so you can perform nozzle swaps with your fingers at room temperature without complex tools or hot tightening. Each Revo Nozzle is factory sealed, making it much simpler to use and more reliable than most HotEnd technology available today.

Enhanced performance. Revo Prusa Edition uses a Revo HeaterCore, our latest HotEnd heating and sensing architecture. It reaches temperature much faster than a traditional aluminium heaterblock, and it’s much safer: a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) means the HeaterCore can’t melt at extreme temperatures, reducing hazards in the event of a thermal runaway.

A new look. An anodised black heat sink distinguishes Revo Prusa Edition from its predecessor.

Please note:

You may need to adjust your Z offset when changing nozzles.

Prusa i3 MK2 variants are most often 12V systems and are therefore not compatible with this HotEnd variant. Please see here for the 12V Revo Six.

Revo Nightmare

1/5
Upon the initial usage of a 0.8mm nozzle, I unfortunately experienced a failure where the nozzle sheared in two, presumably due to high extrusion pressure. I was, however, able to retrieve the dislodged parts using pliars, but that cost me a nozzle on the first try. My second concern involves an inability to unscrew the nozzle from one of the Revo units. Despite extensive attempts to remove any obstructing filament, testing both heated and unheated conditions, and utilizing pliers for added leverage, the nozzle remains steadfastly affixed. My primary concern is the potential damage that may occur to the unit if I persist in these removal attempts. As such, I would greatly appreciate any guidance you could provide in resolving these issues. The decision to purchase these units was heavily influenced by your marketing promise of an "easy one-handed nozzle swap." However, given the aforementioned difficulties, my current experience does not align with these expectations. Considering the nature of these issues, I speculate that other users might have experienced similar challenges. I am hopeful that the new Revo High Flow variant may offer solutions to these problems, but I am somewhat skeptical based on my present experiences. I cannot recommend the Revo system to anyone.

So far... so great

5/5
Just picked it up and seems to work perfectly. Just be aware that Prusa has not fixed their firmware patch (most recent one) to deal with the quick heat up of the Revo - this is pretty well known so just don't update yet or roll back your software (not a big deal at all). Regardless, printing looks great so far, am going to play around swapping nozzles tomorrow.

Revo 6

Looks nice but can't use it unless I roll back my firmware as it does not work with the new version. Prusa has not fixed their firmware yet.
